Job summary

Waystone leads the way in specialist services for the asset management industry. The Vice President - Fund Accounting will oversee client portfolios end-to-end, manage a team, and ensure timely, accurate reporting in line with client requirements.

Based in the Philippines, this senior role partners with internal stakeholders and external clients to drive excellence in financial statements, NAVs, cash flows, and performance metrics while maintaining the highest standards of control and ethics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in accounting with fund accounting exposure.
• Minimum 5 years in fund accounting, hedge funds or private equity preferred.
• Managerial or supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of AVPs and associates to deliver fund accounting services.
• Facilitate training and onboarding for new staff and ongoing skill development.
• Participate in recruitment discussions and decisions for the team.
• Ensure onboarding of new hires and alignment with policies.
• Monitor compliance with company standards and business ethics.
• Oversee discipline, investigations and corrective actions when required.
• Manage workload distribution and staff engagement and development.
• Communicate management direction to the team and report back outcomes.
• Review client deliverables within agreed timelines and ensure accuracy.
• Oversee daily processing of trades, cash, income, and expenses.
• Reconcile daily cash positions and NAV calculations per client requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax schedules for year-end audits.
• Act as day-to-day point of contact for multiple clients.
