Job summary

Dreamlist is seeking a Video Editor to take ideas from shoot day through final cut, shaping footage into reels, brand films, and interviews. You will shoot on location around the Philippines and edit using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro, delivering compelling content for social channels.

You will plan shoots, manage color, audio, and exports, and maintain an organized library. The role is fully remote with on-site shoots as needed, offering growth opportunities and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia Arts, or related field, or equivalent portfolio.
• A reel showcasing own shot and edited work is required.
• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
• Strong fundamentals in composition, lighting, and on-location audio.
• Willingness to travel within the Philippines for client shoots.
• Based in the Philippines and available for full-time exclusive employment.

Job description

We are looking for a Video Editor who can carry an idea from the shoot day to the final cut. You will capture footage on location with our team, then shape it in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro into reels of every kind, brand films, and interviews that people watch to the end. Post-production runs through you: the cut, the color, the sound, the export.

What you'll do

Video Capture & Shoots

• Attend client shoots across the Philippines and capture footage alongside our production team: interviews, b-roll, events, products, and spaces.
• Help plan every shoot before the camera rolls. Build shot lists and coverage plans so a single shoot day can feed a full quarter of content.
• Shoot with the edit in mind, framing and recording each scene for how it will cut together. Better ingredients make a better dish.
• Edit in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro across every format we deliver: reels, brand films, event recaps, interview features, and campaign videos.
• Produce a steady variety of reels for client social calendars: trend-led edits, educational explainers, promotional cuts, and behind‑the‑scenes stories.
• Master the art of retention editing, using pacing, b‑roll, captions, motion graphics, and sound design to hold a viewer from the first frame to the last.
• Handle color grading, audio cleanup, and platform‑correct exports for Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and the web.
• Support the wider creative team in post‑production: clean up footage, refine cuts, and format finished videos for ads, decks, and the web.
• Keep our footage library organized, labeled, and backed up so any project can be reopened in minutes.

Creative Ownership

• Turn briefs from our Growth Strategist into treatments, storyboards, and finished videos. You own the idea from concept to delivery.
• Pitch your own video concepts for clients and for Dreamlist itself. If you can defend the idea, you get to make it.
• Stay fluent in what is working on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, and fold those techniques into client work before they go stale.
• Use modern tools, including AI assists for transcription, rough cuts, and audio cleanup, when they save real time. Taste stays human.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Multimedia Arts, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio experience).
• A reel is your application (see How to apply below), and it must be work you shot and edited yourself.
• Proficiency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro. Bonus points for After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
• Solid camera fundamentals: composition, exposure, movement, and clean location audio on real shoots.
• A strong grasp of platform‑native formats. You should know why an edit that works as a Reel dies on YouTube, and vice versa.
• Willingness to travel within the Philippines for scheduled client shoots.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality.
• Applicant must be based in the Philippines.
• Upon hiring, the applicant must only be employed with Dreamlist. No double jobs. This is a full‑time, exclusive position requiring dedicated focus on Dreamlist clients.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional, pre‑approved, and paid overtime may be required for special client campaigns or events.

Location

Fully remote work arrangement with company‑provided equipment. You will be on location for scheduled client shoots.

Gatherings

Attend company gatherings in Metro Manila (approx. once a month, expenses covered).
