Job summary

Smart VAs LLC in the Philippines is seeking a creative video editor to join as a Part-Time Independent Contractor. You will assemble raw footage, edit to script, add music, graphics, and ensure on-brand outputs while meeting deadlines during US EST hours.

A strong portfolio and proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Vegas Pro, Final Cut, Filmora, and CapCut are essential. Excellent English communication and reliability are a must.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of illustrations or video work demonstrating editing and storytelling.
• Proficiency with major editing software: Premiere, Vegas Pro, Final Cut, Filmora.
• CapCut skills for quick mobile-friendly edits are a plus.
• Strong English communication and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work part-time EST hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble raw footage and transfer/upload to a computer.
• Follow script, screenplay, or outline to produce video edits.
• Input sound, select music, and create voice-overs as needed.
• Add graphics and ensure footage is on-brand and visually appealing.
• Edit lighting/coloring and deliver finalized cuts on time.

Status: Part Time Independent Contractor

• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble raw footage and transfer or upload it to a computer
• Follow a script, screenplay, or outline
• Input sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
• Input graphics to enhance footage
• Digitally splice film and video and synchronize them into one rough cut file
• Improve and correct lighting, coloring, and faulty footage
• Ensure final videos and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
