JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Client Assistance
- Greet and assist all clients upon their arrival at the hospital, providing compassionate and courteous service to ensure their needs are met.
2. Support during Procedures
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures by preparing equipment, handling instruments, and providing additional support as needed.
3. Animal Handling
- Safely restrain and handle animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety while minimizing stress.
4. Hospital Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the hospital, including examination rooms, surgical suites, and common areas, to provide a safe and sanitary environment for animals, clients, and staff.
5. Operational Support
- Assist doctors and staff with various operational matters, including patient care, administrative tasks, and emergency response, to ensure smooth hospital operations.
6. Inventory Management
- Support the inventory management system led by the hospital Inventory Management Staff, including restocking supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with inventory audits as needed.
7. Graveyard Shift Floating Assistant
- Serve as a floating assistant during the graveyard shift, primarily supporting nurses with their duties while remaining available to assist doctors as needed, ensuring continuous and efficient patient care throughout the night.
8. General Support
- Serve as a support resource for general errands and tasks within the hospital, such as assisting with facility maintenance.
9. Patient Transportation Assistance
- Assist doctors and other veterinary staff in transporting patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
- Operate hospital vehicles to provide patient transportation services if the employee holds a valid driver’s license, while adhering to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.
- Follow the hospital’s established Patient Transportation Service protocols at all times to ensure proper handling and care of patients.
- Ensure all transport equipment, carriers, and vehicles are cleaned, sanitized, and properly maintained after each use.
- Coordinate with the staff regarding schedules and ensure that transport services including emergency cases are properly prioritized.
- Assist doctors during home service cases by helping with patient handling, preparation of basic equipment, and ensuring smooth coordination during the home service.
