Petology Emergency Animal Hospital Inc. is seeking a dedicated veterinary nurse for full-time, on-site work in Cavite City.

You will administer medications and treatments as directed by the attending veterinarian, monitor patients, assist with procedures, and help maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will support reception and operations, help with patient intake, scheduling, stocking, and relay clear updates to the veterinary team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Administering Medications and Treatments:

Responsible for accurately administering medications and treatments as directed by the attending veterinarian. This involves a comprehensive understanding of proper dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects to ensure optimal care for the animals under our supervision.

Uphold impeccable cleanliness standards within the hospital's confinement rooms, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our animal patients. This includes regular sanitation protocols to prevent the spread of illness and maintain a comfortable space for both animals and staff.

3. Assisting with Operational Matters:

Collaborate closely with veterinarians and fellow staff members to address various concerns and operational tasks within the hospital. This may involve assisting with patient intake, scheduling appointments, organizing supplies, and supporting overall hospital operations as needed.

4. Monitoring Vital Signs and Animal Condition:

Diligently monitor the vital signs and overall condition of animals under our care, utilizing specialized equipment and observation techniques. Promptly recognize any signs of distress or complications, and effectively communicate these findings to the attending veterinarian for immediate attention and intervention.

5. Reporting and Communication:

Act as a vital link in the communication chain between veterinary staff and patients, promptly reporting any observed changes or concerns regarding animal health to the attending veterinarian. Clear and concise communication is essential to ensure timely and appropriate medical intervention for our patients.

6. General Support and Errands:

Provide valuable support for the efficient operation of the hospital by assisting with general errands and tasks as assigned. Whether it's restocking supplies, organizing equipment, or assisting with patient transportation, veterinary nurses play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth workflow and optimal patient care experience.
