Job summary

Sideline Sports Center in Makati is seeking a hands-on Venue Operations Lead to run daily activities, welcome players, manage check-ins, and keep the venue spotless. This role focuses on operations over paperwork, with direct reporting to ownership and close collaboration with maintenance staff.

You will oversee bookings, client relations, events and court scheduling, coordinate with coaches and staff, and help grow the venue's busy schedule while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years managing a busy guest-facing venue such as a sports club, gym, hotel, or restaurant.
• Warm, confident with professionals, executives, and expats.
• Commercial mindset with ability to fill unused courts or slots.
• Self-directed, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with booking systems, POS, and basic data handling.

Responsibilities

• Run the floor — open and close, welcome players, manage check-ins, and keep the venue immaculate at all times.
• Own the guest experience — know the regulars by name, resolve issues on the spot, and make first-time visitors want to come back.
• Grow the business — follow up on event and venue-hire enquiries, coordinate corporate bookings and tournaments, and keep coaching and open-play sessions filled.
• Manage the court schedule in our booking system — monitor utilization, resolve conflicts, handle walk-ins and on-site payments.
• Direct maintenance and cleaning staff so courts, equipment, changing rooms, and the fitness room are always guest-ready.
• Build the community — organize open play, support leagues and clinics, coordinate with coaches, and help feed our social media channels.
• Report on what matters — daily utilization, sales, incidents, and supply levels.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards, and act as first responder for on-court injuries.

Sideline Sports is a new premium indoor racquet-sports venue in Salcedo Village, Makati — three courts for pickleball and badminton, a fitness room, and a 395 sqm hall we hire out for corporate events and tournaments. We're opening soon, and we're hiring the person who will run it day to day.

This is a hands‑on role, not a desk job. Bookings and payments run through our online system, so you won't spend your day on paperwork. You'll spend it making sure the venue runs beautifully, players feel looked after, and our courts stay busy. You'll report directly to ownership, work closely with our maintenance staff, and have real influence over how the club operates from day one.

What we're looking for:

• At least 2 years running the floor at a sports club, gym, hotel, restaurant, or similar guest‑facing venue

• Warm and confident with people — our members are professionals, executives, and expats who expect to be treated well

• Commercially minded: you see an empty court on a Tuesday evening and start thinking about how to fill it

• Self‑directed and organized — you'll often be the only one holding the venue

• Comfortable with booking systems, POS, spreadsheets, and messaging apps

• Strong English and Filipino

• Available for evenings and weekends, which are our busiest hours

• A genuine interest in racquet sports is a real advantage. You don't need to play well — you need to care

• First aid or basic life support certification is a plus
