Job summary

Work with body technicians and service advisors to coordinate repairs, maintain and clean equipment, follow safety protocols, and document paint formulas and materials used for accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and masking.
• Ensure surfaces are smooth and free of imperfections to achieve optimal paint adhesion.
• Match paint colors to the vehicle's original color using color charts and mixing equipment.
• Ensure accurate and consistent color matching to maintain the vehicle's aesthetic appeal.
• Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat to achieve an even and flawless finish.
• Use spray guns and other painting equipment with precision and skill.
• Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections, runs, or inconsistencies.
• Address any issues promptly to achieve Toyota's high-quality standards.
• Mix paint materials, including primers and clear coats, according to manufacturer specifications.
• Keep an organized and clean work area, including paint mixing stations.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or issues for prompt resolution.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling paint materials.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of paint materials used, color formulas, and any additional notes.
• Provide documentation for insurance claims and repair records.
