West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a part-time Early Learning & Childcare Centre administrator to support the nursery operations. You will handle clerical tasks, respond to enquiries, maintain accurate records, and ensure a smooth office environment.

Work pattern for this post will be Monday - Friday 9.00am - 12.00pm or hours agreed with the Head Teacher which meet the needs of the service.
Reporting directly to the Head Teacher and Lead ELC Officer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of a comprehensive clerical and administrative service supporting the operations of an Early Learning & Childcare Centre.
You will ensure the smooth running of the nursery office and provide a welcoming, professional reception service, responding to all enquiries both by telephone and in person.
Your duties will include managing and maintaining nursery data, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and stored appropriately on the relevant computerised systems.
General office responsibilities will include photocopying, filing, document preparation, mail distribution, assisting with the arrangement of transport and outings, and routine cash‑handling tasks such as receiving and recording payments for school activities and uniforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, along with strong organisational and communication skills.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
