Job summary

Cosmetique Asia Corporation is hiring an Utilities Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation and routine maintenance of water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumps, boilers, and cooling systems across the plant.

You will monitor parameters, perform start-up/shutdown, routine checks, sampling, and basic troubleshooting, while maintaining accurate logs and cooperating with the maintenance team to prevent downtime and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical-Vocational course or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or related field.
• 2+ years in utilities, water/wastewater treatment, or industrial plant operations.
• Knowledge of STP, WTP, pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, boilers, cooling systems.
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater quality monitoring and sampling.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read basic equipment manuals, procedures, and technical diagrams.
• Basic computer skills (Excel and Word).
• Safety-conscious, proactive, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor utility systems (STP, WTP, pumps, blowers, boilers, cooling systems).
• Perform routine start-up, shutdown, and operational checks.
• Record operating parameters (flow, pressure, temperature, pH, dosing).
• Inspect equipment for leaks, unusual noise, vibration, or issues.
• Collect and monitor water/wastewater samples per procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Assist maintenance personnel during repairs and tests.
• Monitor consumption and report anomalies.
• Maintain logs and utility reports with accuracy.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

About the role

The Utilities Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, monitoring, inspection, and basic maintenance of company utility systems and equipment. The role supports the continuous operation of essential utilities, including water treatment, wastewater treatment, water supply, pumps, compressors, boilers, cooling systems, and other assigned utility systems, ensuring that operating parameters, equipment conditions, and utility quality requirements are maintained in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assigned utility systems, including STP, WTP, pumps, blowers, compressors, boilers, cooling systems, and other plant utilities.
• Perform routine start-up, shutdown, adjustment, and operational checks of utility equipment.
• Monitor and record operating parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, levels, pH, chemical dosing, and other applicable parameters.
• Conduct routine inspection of utility equipment and identify abnormal conditions, leaks, unusual noise, vibration, or other equipment issues.
• Perform required water/wastewater sampling, testing, and monitoring in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and minor repairs of utility equipment.
• Assist maintenance personnel during equipment repair, inspection, testing, and servicing activities.
• Monitor utility consumption and report abnormal usage or operating conditions.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, inspection records, maintenance records, and utility reports.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of utility equipment and operating areas.

About you

• Technical-Vocational course, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in utilities, water/wastewater treatment, or industrial plant operations.
• Knowledge of STP, WTP, pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, boilers, cooling systems, and related utility equipment.
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater quality monitoring and sampling.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read basic equipment manuals, procedures, and technical diagrams.
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Safety-conscious, proactive, responsible, and able to work effectively with a team.
