Job summary

Luna Group in a fast-growing e-commerce space seeks an experienced Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for its US entity in a fully remote role. You will maintain financial records, ensure US GAAP compliance, and report findings to management.

You will collaborate with CPAs, tax advisors, and the group finance team, handling month-end closings and statutory filings while working independently from a remote location. Strong ERP and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the US.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and US federal/state tax requirements.
• Hands-on month-end closing and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle of our US entity. You will keep our financial records accurate and compliant with US regulations, and you will give management clear, timely financial reporting. This is a fully remote position.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (CPAs, tax advisors, state/federal tax bodies) to ensure smooth financial workflows in a fast-paced e-commerce ecosystem. What You'll Do

• Record and maintain all journal entries in the general ledger in Business Central.
• Process and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable (received and issued invoices).
• Calculate and record accruals and provisions.
• Prepare monthly closings within the agreed deadlines.
• Manage US tax compliance: sales and use tax, 1099 reporting, franchise and state taxes, and support for federal and state income tax filings.
• Review the P&L and Balance Sheet, analyse variances and flag any issues.
• Coordinate with external CPAs, tax advisors and the group finance team.
• Keep documentation in order for audits and tax filings.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of accounting experience in the US.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and US federal and state tax requirements.
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing and account reconciliations.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV); advanced Excel.
• Fluent English; organized, detail-oriented and able to work independently and remotely to deadlines.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in an international group or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with multi-state tax obligations.
• Spanish is a plus.
