Job summary

eClerx LLC in the Philippines is seeking an experienced General Ledger (GL) Accountant to manage general accounting activities and support the financial reporting requirements of US-based clients.

The role centers on preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close, along with intercompany accounting, bank reconciliations, and compliance reporting. Night shifts (US hours) and PH holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Experience posting journal entries.
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Experience supporting US-based clients preferred.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in BPO / Shared Service Industry.
• Willing to work night shifts (US hours) and PH holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and input corporate journal entries.
• Manage intercompany accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Perform invoice coding for non-standard payments.
• Research month-end expenses vs budget and prior year.
• Ensure internal controls are observed.
• Prepare compliance reporting (e.g., U.S. government).
• Prepare audit schedules for external audits.
• Facilitate audits by third parties.
• Provide analysis and financial support for reporting needs.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets.
• Analyze and reconcile inventory.
• Collaborate with management to resolve financial questions.
