Job summary

Genpact seeks a talented Lead Consultant, Java Developer to design, build, and support scalable backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot. You will deliver RESTful APIs, work on microservices, and collaborate with global teams to ensure production stability and continuous improvement.

You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and apply best practices while exploring AI tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot to design and build backend services.
• Develop RESTful APIs with scalable microservices in cloud environments.
• Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of data persistence with relational databases.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery in global teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend and full stack applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot.
• Apply OO analysis and design to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Design and support microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Work with JPA/Hibernate, PL/SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Deploy and support apps in AWS and leverage cloud-native capabilities.
• Participate in Agile delivery with global stakeholders.
• Contribute to end-to-end SDLC with debugging and production support.
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply best engineering practices; assist with TDD and CI/CD (desirable).
• Gain familiarity with AI prompting/tools to assist analyses (desirable).
• Work in Unix/Linux environments and contribute to Angular UI/UX improvements (desirable).

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Software Developer. In this role, you will design, build, and support scalable backend services using modern Java and Spring Boot technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality RESTful APIs and ensure production stability while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain existing back end and full stack applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
• Apply object-oriented analysis and design principles to build scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions
• Design, implement, and support microservices architectures and RESTful APIs
• Work with data persistence layers using JPA/Hibernate, PL/SQL, and relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Deploy, operate, and support applications in AWS cloud environments, leveraging cloud native capabilities
• Participate actively in Agile delivery, collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders in a global team
• Contribute across the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, with hands on responsibility for troubleshooting, production support, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Apply engineering best practices when delivering solutions.
• Involvement in applying test driven development (TDD) to improve reliability and design (Nice to Have / Desirable Responsibilities)
• Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable automated build, test, and deployment processes (Nice to Have / Desirable Responsibilities)
• Develop familiarity with AI prompting and tooling (e.g. Claude) to assist with analysis, development tasks, and problem solving (Nice to Have / Desirable Responsibilities)
• Work with Unix / Linux environments, gaining experience in command line usage and basic troubleshooting (Nice to Have / Desirable Responsibilities)
• Contribute to Angular based UI/UX improvements and frontend modernization initiatives (Nice to Have / Desirable Responsibilities)

• CI/CD & Security Scanning: Bamboo, BlackDuck (Open Source Vulnerability Scanning), Fortify (Static Application Security Testing - SAST), Artifactory
• Ability to navigate through vague specifications and requirements and coordinate and engage relevant stakeholders to obtain clarity on expectations
