Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in Engineering-Electronics/Communication or equivalent.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience in a Telecom company is required.
• OSP-related project experience from planning to evaluation.
• Experience with OSP, FTTH, fiber optics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our US Partner Client is an Engineering Services is a specialized division offering turnkey engineering, construction, and drafting solutions, primarily focused on the telecommunications and transportation sectors. They support end-to-end project delivery from design to implementation.

We’re looking for an Outside Plant (OSP) Design Engineer to join our growing team. An OSP (Outside Plant) Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing fiber-optic network infrastructure outside of buildings, including fiber routes, pole attachments, and other components needed to support reliable telecommunications networks.

This is a full-time role with a shifting/rotating schedule (dayshift/night shift) and is a Work-in-Office (WIO) position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop Outside Plant (OSP) fiber-optic networks, including fiber routes, pole lines, underground pathways, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, construction plans, and design documentation using AutoCAD and other applicable design tools.
• Review field data, survey information, maps, and existing infrastructure to develop accurate and constructible OSP designs.
• Perform fiber route planning, pole attachment design, and make-ready engineering as required.
• Utilize GIS, CAD, and OSP design software to create and update network designs and construction drawings.
• Analyze pole lines and other existing infrastructure to determine appropriate placement of fiber-optic facilities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, client specifications, utility requirements, and permitting guidelines.
• Coordinate with field engineers, permitting teams, surveyors, and other project stakeholders to resolve design-related issues.
• Review and revise designs based on field conditions, client feedback, and construction requirements.
• Conduct quality checks of drawings, design packages, and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain accurate project records, design files, and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the preparation of material quantities, cost estimates, and other engineering deliverables when required.
• Identify potential design conflicts or constructability concerns and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Perform other related engineering and design tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
• Preferably with at least 2-3 years of working experience specializing in Engineering-Electronics/Communication or equivalent.
• Must have actual leadership experience.
• Must have actual working experience in a Telecom company.
• With experience managing OSP-related projects from planning, designing, implementation, and evaluation
• Background and skills in OSP, Fiber to the Home (FTTH), and Fiber Optics are advantages.
• With preference for candidates with experience with Vitro Fiber, i-Pro, GIS and Google Earth
• Has onsite survey experience and is familiar with aerial works/rounds for fiber
• Must be willing to work office-based 1Nito Tower, Archbishop Reyes Avenue
