Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation, Didipio mine on Luzon Island, Philippines, seeks a Mining Engineer to oversee underground mining activities, ensuring adherence to Life of Mine plans and the highest safety standards. The role focuses on planning, drill and blast, ventilation, and production targets while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The candidate will review designs, schedules, and reports, collaborate across teams, and promote continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering is required.
• Registered Mining Engineer status is required.
• Proficiency with mine design software and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support underground mining operations across planning, drill and blast, ventilation, backfill, load and haul, development, and dispatch.
• Assist with development and execution of mine plans to meet production targets.
• Monitor performance and provide technical recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Prepare and review mine designs, schedules, and engineering reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Identify and manage workplace risks while promoting safety culture.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
