Job summary

Maxicare Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to operate ultrasound equipment, ensure image quality, and support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced clinic. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accuracy of history and documentation, and collaboration with Radiologists and OB Sonologists.

The ideal candidate will have a BS Radiologic Technology degree with PRC license (RRT/RXT), be tech-savvy, and able to multitask while maintaining high safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Preferred: Graduate of BS Radiologic Technology with PRC license (RRT or RXT)
• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology
• Basic understanding of ultrasound machine troubleshooting
• Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment (or willingness to be trained)
• Can manage multiple patient cases efficiently and professionally
• Tech‑savvy with good documentation habits
• Computer‑proficient; able to multitask in fast-paced settings
• Calm, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic
• Amenable to rotational shifts with graveyard schedule (5‑day work week, varying rest days)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, position, and educate patients for ultrasound procedures
• Perform a variety of ultrasound scans (e.g., whole abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, HBT) within turnaround targets
• Ensure accuracy of patient history, image quality, and scan documentation
• Operate ultrasound machines and maintain diagnostic equipment cleanliness and functionality
• Collaborate with Radiologists and OB Sonologists for confirmation of results
• Assist in special ultrasound procedures and help manage scheduling or patient inquiries
• Uphold safety protocols, patient confidentiality, and customer service excellence
• Use PACS, Emedcore, and Lifesys systems to record and manage results
