Sleek is hiring for a UK-focused bookkeeping role based in the Philippines. You will prepare bookkeeping, VAT returns, and draft year-end accounts for UK small business clients, within a five-person pod led by a UK-based Senior Accounts Manager. This role requires overlap with UK business hours.

You will use Xero or QuickBooks, ensure accuracy, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a team to grow from VAT to full year-end filings, while embracing Sleek's AI tools to streamline workflows.

Qualificações

• A degree in commerce, accounting or finance (e.g., B.Com or BS Accountancy).
• At least 2 years in accounting, including at least 1 year with UK clients.
• Proficient with Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud accounting software.
• Excellent written English to email UK clients.
• Based in India or the Philippines with the right to work there.
• Able to work a shift overlapping UK business hours.

Responsabilidades

• Keep clients' books up to date in Xero with bank reconciliations, ledgers, and month/year-end adjustments.
• Prepare VAT returns under Making Tax Digital for review.
• Prepare draft year end accounts and, as you grow, corporation tax returns.
• Check your own work before sending it for review and address corrections.
• Chase clients for missing records and flag deadlines in good time.
• Keep client records and workflow data accurate.
• Use the AI tools we are building into our products and workflow.
