Job summary

Narra Crewing and Shipmanagement Corporation is seeking a Technical Superintendent to oversee vessel maintenance and PMS compliance on assigned ships in the Philippines. The role requires licensed naval/marine engineering expertise and shipping industry experience.

You will coordinate dry-docking activities, assist surveyors, advise on purchasing, and lead quarterly vessel visits to address defects and implement preventive actions with the crew in cooperation with the GH/President.

Qualifications

• Licensed naval/marine or mechanical engineer with professional license.
• Experience in shipping, PMS monitoring, and dry-docking.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PMS is followed onboard supervised vessels.
• Submit dry-docking work package within 3 weeks after receipt for review.
• Ensure dry-docking scope is submitted 120 days prior to dry-docking.
• Provide information to Group Head on incoming Class surveys; assist surveyors.
• Provide technical advice on purchase of supplies and services.
• Coordinate vessel repair schedule with owners.
• Attend vessel technical inspections and report on Deck & Engine machinery.
• Technical Superintendent conducts quarterly visits and meetings with crew about defects.
• Investigate near misses, non-conformities, incidents and recommend preventive actions.
