Job summary

Pacificrose Shipping Services Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer with a valid OIC-EW license to lead engine room operations from Cebu City. You will oversee main and auxiliary engines, monitor performance, and ensure reliable propulsion systems aboard our vessels.

You will plan and supervise routine maintenance, diagnose faults, coordinate major repairs, and train the engineering crew in safety and emergency procedures while supporting towing and fleet operations.

Qualifications

• Chief Engineer with valid OIC-EW license or equivalent
• Experience overseeing main and auxiliary engine operation
• Proven ability to supervise engineering crew and manage maintenance programs
• Strong troubleshooting and safety leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of main and propulsion systems and monitor performance
• Plan and supervise routine maintenance on engines, generators, pumps, and machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults and coordinate major repairs
• Supervise engineering crew, assign tasks, and monitor performance
• Train personnel in maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and emergency responses
