Job summary

REFINETTE COSMETIC MANUFACTURING CORPORATION in Guiguinto, Bulacan invites a talented TSD Specialist (Formulator) to join our Technical team. You will lead development and optimization of soap formulations, conduct testing, ensure regulatory compliance and drive product quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or Cosmetic Science and proven soap formulation experience, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and collaboration with marketing, production and QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience as a soap formulator or in a similar technical development role within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
• Strong knowledge of soap ingredients, their properties, compatibility and regulatory restrictions.
• Proficiency in formulation and laboratory equipment commonly used in soap development.
• Experience with stability testing, shelf-life studies and quality assurance protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and formulate new soap products in line with market trends and company objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of formulations to assess stability, texture, performance and aesthetic properties.
• Perform quality assurance testing and ensure all products meet established specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Document all formulation development work, test results and technical data in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production and quality control to ensure formulations are commercially viable and manufacturable at scale.
• Troubleshoot formulation issues and implement corrective measures to resolve any technical challenges.
• Stay current with industry trends, ingredient innovations and regulatory changes to inform product development strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of all formulations, modifications and testing outcomes for regulatory compliance and product traceability.
• Conduct stability studies and shelf-life testing to ensure product safety and efficacy throughout the product lifecycle.

About the role

We are seeking a talented TSD Specialist (Formulator) to join the Technical team at REFINETTE COSMETIC MANUFACTURING CORPORATION. This is a full-time position based in Guiguinto, Bulacan. In this role, you will be at the forefront of soap innovation, responsible for developing, testing and optimizing soap formulations that meet both regulatory standards and consumer expectations. You will play a critical part in bringing new products to market whilst ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and efficacy. What we’re looking for
