Job Description
- Operate and drive trucks for transporting goods.
- Ensure timely delivery while adhering to safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Keep accurate delivery logs and report any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
- Valid CDL – Required for most truck driving jobs.
- Age – Usually 21 or older for interstate driving.
- Experience – Typically 1-2 years or truck driving school completion.
- Clean Driving Record – No major violations.
- Physical Fitness – Pass a physical exam.
- Background Check – Criminal and driving history check.
- Long Hours – Flexibility for nights/weekends.
- Cargo Handling – Load/unload or ensure cargo is secure.
- Safety Knowledge – Familiarity with regulations and vehicle maintenance.
- Communication Skills – Ability to interact with dispatch and customers.
