Job Description
- Safely operate company vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.) to transport goods and materials to designated destinations within specified timeframes. This includes adhering to all relevant traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition, and report any maintenance issues. This ensures the vehicle is in safe operating condition and minimizes downtime.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and other required documentation, such as delivery receipts and proof of delivery. This ensures compliance with regulations and provides a record of driving activities for company records.
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Passenger, Doubles/Triples, etc., if applicable).
- Maintain a clean driving record with a minimum number of traffic violations and no serious accidents.
- Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including passing a drug and alcohol screening and a physical examination.
