Job summary

SYSTRA Philippines is seeking a Transport Demand Modeller to support infrastructure projects in the Philippines and abroad. The role focuses on developing and maintaining transport demand models, analyzing data, and contributing to study outputs and presentations.

The successful candidate will work with teams across disciplines, demonstrate strong English communication skills, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. This position is based in Pasig.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil Engineering with Transportation Engineering specialization.
• Masters degree is an advantage for the role.
• Proficient in demand modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data from statistics, surveys and transport studies.
• Plan transport/traffic surveys and process data results.
• Prepare and maintain transport demand models.
• Simulate and forecast transport demand scenarios using modelling software.
• Assess impacts of developments on transport projects and networks.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for projects.

Context

SYSTRA Philippines is in need of professionals with experience in the development of transport infrastructure projects in both local and international setting. The role is expected to perform all tasks related to transport demand modelling necessary to support the consulting activities of SYSTRA Philippines in all existing and future projects, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in undertaking additional tasks as required by project demands, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the project objectives.

Missions/Main Duties

• Analyze and interpret data gathered from statistics, surveys and transport studies;


• Participate in the planning of transport/ traffic surveys/ interviews and process data results;


• Prepare and maintain transport demand models;


• Simulate and prepare transport demand forecast scenarios using computer modeling software;


• Analyze and forecast the impact of new and planned developments on a proposed transport project;


• Analyze a proposed transport project’s impact on the overall transport network;


• Prepare technical reports, studies and presentation materials for various projects;


• Participate in the internal planning of technical requirements, budgets and timeliness for new/ prospective projects of the company;


• Initiate and participate in meetings, presentations and site visits/ interviews for data collection, as needed;


• Participate in value methodology workshops, as needed; and


• Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the manager and/or management.

Profile/Skills

• BSc in Civil Engineering major in Transportation Engineering.


• Masters Degree is an advantage.
