Job summary

EDGE Tutor International is seeking a Senior Math Trainer to lead advanced math training across multiple levels and curricula. This senior role blends live training delivery with end-to-end instructional design and assessment ownership, and you will be responsible for building and continuously improving the Math Training Program itself.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field
• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education or related discipline is a strong advantage
• Strong mastery of Algebra through Calculus and Statistics/Probability
• Experience teaching advanced math and internationally recognized curricula (AP/IB/SAT/ACT/IGCSE/GCSE)
• Experience training tutors/teachers and designing structured learning paths
• Familiarity with EdTech platforms and online training environments

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Math Trainer to lead advanced math training across multiple levels and curricula. This role is critical to expanding our capability beyond primary-level math and ensuring tutor readiness for high school, advanced, and exam-based programs. This is a hands-on, senior role that combines live training delivery with end-to-end instructional design and assessment ownership. You will be responsible not only for training tutors, but for building and continuously improving the Math Training Program itself.

Key Responsibilities

• Training Delivery: Deliver engaging live training sessions to prepare online tutors for various math levels (from Primary to High School). Equip tutors with the pedagogical skills needed to effectively teach math concepts to diverse learners online.
• Content Creation & Instructional Design: Design and develop practical math training modules, learning paths, and curriculum-mapped guides. Build scalable training materials including mock lessons and problem sets to support tutor development.
• Assessment & Certification: Evaluate tutor readiness by conducting teaching demos, live simulations, and assessments. Establish clear certification criteria to ensure all tutors meet client expectations before they begin teaching.
• Quality & Collaboration: Maintain high standards of pedagogical quality and mathematical accuracy. Collaborate with Operations and Account Managers to analyze training outcomes and continuously improve tutor performance.

Required Qualifications

• Academic Background
  • Bachelor’s degree with strong grounding in Mathematics or a closely related field
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline is a strong advantage
• Math Expertise
  • Strong mastery of Algebra through Calculus
  • Solid understanding of Statistics and Probability
  • Proven ability to teach and explain advanced math concepts clearly
  • Experience with at least one advanced or international math curriculum (AP, IB, SAT, ACT, IGCSE, GCSE, Singapore Math, or equivalent)
• Training and Pedagogical Skills
  • Experience training tutors or teachers (not only students)
  • Strong instructional presence and adult learning skills
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into structured, teachable frameworks
  • Experience observing, evaluating, and improving teaching performance
• Instructional Design and Tools
  • Experience developing curriculum and assessments
  • Ability to design structured learning paths and certification frameworks
  • Familiarity with EdTech platforms, LMS tools, or online training environments

Work Set-up and Requirements

• Schedule: Schedule: May require flexible hours but with focus on mid-shift (start of shift at 12NN or 1PM)
• Workdays: Five-day workweek with two rest days.
• Location: Fully remote
• Desktop/laptop with Intel i5 (10th gen), 8GB RAM or higher
• Minimum 25 Mbps internet speed with backup connection
• Backup power supply for at least 8 hours
