Burns & McDonnell India invites applications for a Fresh Fire Protection Engineer trainee to join our Global Facilities team in Mumbai. You will support fire suppression, detection and alarm systems, piping design, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers on North America-focused projects.
The role reports to the mechanical/Fire department manager, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience.
You'll be joining the ranks of our GFS team, a well-established group providing services to Global Facilities (GFS) and Aviation & Federal (A&F) Global Practices since 2017.
You'll report to department & functional managers, and your focus to work on diverse projects spanning industries such as Food & Consumer Products, Mission Critical, Architectural & Commercial, Onsite Energy, Manufacturing, Commercial Fueling, and Aviation.
And these projects aren't limited to a local scale; they are positioned globally, reflecting our worldwide impact. You'll be a part of our vibrant GFS Global Practice, a thriving collective of professionals with expertise in Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Structural, and Project Engineering disciplines.

We are multi-discipline team that provides engineering services for facilities projects in the North America region which includes facilities including hyperscale data centers, food & consumer product, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, and institutional facilities.
We are looking for Fresh and energetic Fire Protection engineer to join our growing Global Facilities team in Mumbai office to support Fire Suppression, Fire detection & Alarm system and Piping design activitieson projects mainly in North America region.
The successful candidate will report to the mechanical/Fire department manager.
Completing all tasks set by the supervisor and assisting wherever possible.
Observing existing strategies and techniques and offering suggestions for improvement.
Working closely with team members to foster professional values and build good relationships.
Observing health and safety guidelines at all times.
Attending meetings and workshops.
Submitting to all forms of evaluation during the traineeship.
Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization
Knowledge of below software will be an added advantage.
Revit
BlueBeam, Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD
AutoCAD, AutoPipe, Autocad plant 3D, SP3D
Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote
Trane TRACE or any other load calculation program
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Technology & Safety branch engineering from a recognized institution
Minimum 60% marks or Equivalent grades in Qualifying Examination of reputed University/ Institute in India Passing out in 2027 Batch onlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate results
Ability to maintain composure under pressure
Ability to work in a team
Good observation skills and a willingness to learn
