As a Trade Integration Analyst, you will analyse, define, and support integration solutions across Trade Finance platforms and the wider banking technology ecosystem. You will translate operational and product requirements into functional specifications, interface designs, data mappings, and test scenarios to enable reliable processing across trade systems, core banking, payments, compliance, finance, and external networks.
What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed
- Gather, analyse, validate, and document business, functional, non-functional, and integration requirements for Trade Finance initiatives.
- Map current-state and target-state processes covering Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, Open Account Trade, and related servicing activities.
- Define integration requirements between Trade Finance platforms and core banking, payments, treasury, general ledger, AML and sanctions screening, regulatory reporting, and external messaging networks.
- Prepare interface specifications, source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, validation rules, exception handling, and reconciliation requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, vendors, operations, product, compliance, finance, and testing teams to validate solution designs.
- Develop functional, integration, system, and user acceptance test scenarios and support test execution, defect triage, and root cause analysis.
- Validate end-to-end transaction and message flows, including accounting entries, charges, settlement, status updates, and exception processing.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, design walkthroughs, fit-gap sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
- Maintain requirements traceability, decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and interface documentation throughout delivery.
- Support data migration, implementation readiness, cutover, post-go-live stabilisation, and knowledge transfer.

Experience
- You have 8-10 years of experience in banking or financial services, including at least 3 years in Trade Finance analysis, operations, implementation, or integration.
- You have working knowledge of Trade Finance instruments and processes, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Documentary Collections.
- You have experience producing business requirements, functional specifications, interface documents, data mappings, process models, and test artefacts.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You have experience in core banking transformation, platform modernisation, or multi-system integration programmes is preferred.
- You have experience working in Agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments is preferred.
Technical Expertise
- You are familiar with SWIFT trade messages, ISO 20022 concepts, trade compliance, sanctions screening, and industry rules including UCP 600, ISP98, and URDG.
- You have experience with a recognised Trade Finance or core banking platform such as Finastra Trade Innovation, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Temenos Transact, FIS, or an equivalent solution is preferred.
- You understand of APIs, middleware, message queues, event-based integration, batch files, and enterprise service bus patterns is preferred.
