Job summary

AS White Global in the Philippines is hiring an Assistant Financial Accountant to support the Fresh Trading division. You will work closely with the Finance Manager on financial reporting, costing, forecasting, and business analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role offers a hybrid setup with on-site and remote work, and exposure to SAP ERP and advanced Excel tasks. You will contribute to accurate month-end closes, cost updates, and insightful variance analyses while

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Commercial Finance experience.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting standards.
• Experience with product costing, inventory accounting, COGS analysis, or manufacturing/FMCG finance environments.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Manage product costing, inventory-related accounting activities, and cost updates within finance systems.
• Prepare forecasts, business models, and performance reports that support operational and commercial decision-making.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to investigate variances and provide actionable insights.
• Drive reporting enhancements and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and data visibility.

What You'll Do

Key Criteria

• 3+ years of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Commercial Finance experience
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting standards
• Experience with product costing, inventory accounting, COGS analysis, or manufacturing/FMCG finance environments
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and large data-set analysis
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

Work Setup

Work setup & hours may vary by location in accordance with local norms, practices & policies.

• Metro Manila (BGC): Australian business hours (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT) with a hybrid setup (1 day onsite, 4 days remote)
