Job summary

Cignal TV, Inc. seeks a licensed Electronics Engineer to ensure smooth audio/video playout of Cignal channels. You will monitor channels 24/7, manage playlists, and load program materials according to channel grids.

The role requires a BS in Electronics Engineering, a valid Electronics Engineer license, and willingness to work at Cignal-East Avenue or Reliance sites in Metro Manila. New graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering is required.
• Licensed Electronics Engineer.
• Newly board passer or less than 1 year work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• 24/7 playout monitoring and management of Cignal organic channels.
• Daily preparation, checking and execution of channel playlists to designated playout servers.
• Ensure all program materials are loaded in the playlist per channel grids.
• Monitor, record, and ensure proper airing of commercials based on logs.
• Prepare and execute superimpositions (channel bugs, LSGs, crawlers).
• Ensure live program feeds are received and aired; coordinate with CPs/sources for discrepancies.
• Coordinate with production team in airing live programs.
• Coordinate with other teams on material, program, or channel concerns.
• Troubleshoot and maintain MCR equipment.
• Prepare daily transmission, technical and incident reports.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Job description

Major Function:

Maintains efficient and smooth audio/video playout of all Cignal organic channels.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

1. 24/7 playout monitoring and management of Cignal organic channels, ensuring that channels are operating properly.

2. Daily preparation, checking and execution of channel playlists to designated playout servers.

3. Ensures all program materials are properly loaded in the playlist in accordance with channel grids.

4. Monitors, records, and ensures complete and proper airing of commercial spots based on logs.

5. Prepare and execute superimpositions (channel bugs, LSGs, crawlers, etc.).

6. Ensure that all program feeds (news, sports, etc.) for live programs are properly received and aired. Coordinate with CPs/sources for technical discrepancies that may occur during feed reception.

7. Closely coordinate with the production team in airing live programs.

8. Coordinate with other teams regarding material, program, or any other channel-related concerns.

9. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of MCR equipment.

10. Prepares daily transmission, technical and/or incident reports for problems encountered.

11. Performs other tasks that may be required.

Position Qualifications:

1. Male or Female Licensed Electronics Engineer.

2. Work effectively as a member of a team and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Education:

• College graduate with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering.

Work Experience:

• Preferably newly board passer / less than 1 year work experience.

Competencies, Skills & Other Specific Requirements:

• Computer Literate (MS Office, Basic Networking)

• Basic knowledge in broadcasting operations and standards

• Can multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

• Amenable to work in Cignal-East Avenue or Reliance sites
