The Testing Center Architect at Union Bank of the Philippines will lead testing across IT projects, ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery. You will define the test strategy, oversee environments, and guide automation efforts while coordinating with business and IT teams.

We seek a professional with 5+ years in software testing and 3+ years in a leadership capacity within Agile/DevOps contexts, with experience in Jira/ALM and test automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Testing / Quality Engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a Test Lead, QA Lead, Test Manager, Senior QE, or Test Architect capacity.
• Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Deliver testing of products/services across IT projects by analyzing requirements and estimating effort.
• Manage effort, time, resources, and budget for testing activities.
• Coordinate with business and IT units to assess projects and service requests requiring testing; lead testing kick-offs.
• Monitor changes in requirements and escalate issues to stakeholders and supervisor.
• Attend client calls; discuss status and RAIDs with client.
• Ensure timely delivery of testing milestones across phases.
• Prepare/update metrics dashboards at phase end or project completion.
• Coordinate testing with release processes and ensure test deliverables meet standards.
• Design test frameworks for automation and testing; implement test tools and guidelines.
• Define test strategy and document/test plan, dependencies, mitigations, and contingencies.
• Coordinate hardware/software requirements for test setups; ensure documentation is up to date.

Job Title: Testing Center Architect

About The Role

The Testing Center Architect is responsible for leading and overseeing testing activities across IT projects, ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery. The role provides expertise in test strategy, automation, test environments, and technical testing while coordinating with business, IT teams, and partners to ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.

What You'll Do

• Accountable to deliver the testing of products/services across UBP IT projects by understanding the effort through requirements analysis.
• Estimate and manage the effort, time, resources, and budget required to perform the testing.
• Responsible for the coordination and collaboration with business and other ITSG units for the assessment of projects and Service requests that require testing and organizing the testing kick-off meeting.
• Monitors and tracks new requirements/change in requirements and escalates any issues to appropriate stakeholders and to his supervisor.
• Attend the regular client call and discuss status and RAIDs with client.
• Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
• Prepares/updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.
• Manages the partners' tasks and deliverables and ensures that they have sufficient work and industry standards and best practices are adhered to:
  • Define the strategy.
  • Develop the test plan, dependencies, mitigations, and contingencies for identified risks.
  • Coordinate the hardware and software requirements for the test setup.
  • Ensure content and structure of all testing documents/artifacts is documented and maintained.
  • Check/review and provide approval on all test deliverables.
• Designing test frameworks for test automation and testing in general.
• Directing and coordinating the implementation of test automation and other test tools.
• Designing test environments.
• Providing guidance on the selection of the most effective test design techniques in a given situation.
• Providing guidance on technical types of testing such as performance testing and security testing.
• Designing methods for the creation of test data.
• Coordinating testing with release processes.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Software Testing / Quality Engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a Test Lead, QA Lead, Test Manager, Senior QE, or Test Architect capacity.
• Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models.
• Exposure to Test Automation Frameworks, API Testing, Data Quality testing, and NFTs (Security and Performance Tests).
• Exposure to Test Management tools (Jira, HP ALM, etc.).
• Testing Certifications (preferred).
• Experience supporting multiple agile squads, tribes, or product domains and translating solution architecture into test strategies and quality risk assessments (preferred).
