Job summary

Amber in Manila is seeking an entry-level QA tester to join our dynamic team. You will help check and report defects in software products according to project standards, contributing to quality from the start.

You’ll execute basic and scripted tests, document issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes. This role offers growth, a supportive environment, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Entry-level contributor responsible for checking and reporting defects or issues of software products according to project standards.
• Ability to understand basic testing (scripted & unscripted tests, bug regression, basic ad-hoc requests).
• Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and basic testing activities in a timely manner.
• Identify and analyze defects (reproducibility, duplication).
• Report and document defects according to project standards.
• Design and run test scenarios based on product knowledge.
• Communicate project matters with the team in a timely, thorough manner.
• Support QA efforts with feature-specific feedback.

About the role:

The Quest:

• Execution of test cases
• Understanding and performing of all levels of basic testing (scripted & unscripted tests, bug regression, basic ad-hoc requests) in a timely manner
• Identification and analysis of defects (duplicate search, reproducibility)
• Reporting and documenting defects and issues according to project standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Understand the technical specifications of the product
• Can provide Feature specific feedback
• Partners with other testers to drive QA efforts
• Understands and follows testing direction
• Design and run test scenarios based on product and hardware knowledge
• Active, thorough and timely communication of project matters with the team (internal or external)
