Job summary

Amber in Manila is seeking a meticulous QA tester to join our vibrant games team. You’ll verify mobile game quality across iOS and Android, identify bugs early, and collaborate with developers to ensure smooth play experiences.

You’ll work within a dynamic group, participate in test planning and execution, and contribute to ongoing quality improvements while growing your skills through training and hands-on practice.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance processes and methodologies.
• Proven experience testing mobile applications on iOS & Android.
• Experience testing a game across development phases from pre-alpha to live deployments.
• Strong defect identification, research, review, documentation, communication and assessment.
• Experience with test case management within deadlines.
• Demonstrated prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-quality bugs based on department standards and perform accurate regressions.
• Manage bug entries to minimize invalid and duplicate issues.
• Execute assigned portions of the test plan outlined by the test scripts.
• Execute test cases and suites using test case management systems.
• Organize workload assigned by the Test Lead.
• Provide insight on the playability of a title and feedback on progress, risks and needs.
• Understand the purpose of test automation and assist as needed.
• Proficient with QA tools, especially for mobile-oriented applications.
• Escalate issues to senior team members and assist in onboarding new testers.
• Share constructive opinions with team and management.
• Identify problems in the immediate game area affecting project goals.
• Communicate risks and dependencies to ensure visibility and timely resolution.
• Contribute to End User Testing strategies for the project.

The Quest:

• Communicates risks and dependencies to ensure that they have visibility and are addressed; raises any issues blocking progress in a timely manner

• Execute and Provide feedback on the End User Testing Strategies for the Project

The Skills:

• 2+ year experience in Quality Assurance Processes and Methodologies.

• Proven experience in testing Mobile application on iOS & Android platforms

• Experience with testing a game in various phases of its development, from pre-alpha to live deployments.

• Understanding and proven aptitude in defect identification, research, review, documentation, communication and assessment.

• Understanding and proven aptitude in test case management within a designated timeframe.

• Demonstrated prioritization skills.
