Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Test Lead to drive automation testing for a high-performance, consumer-facing connectivity platform. The role combines hands-on test planning, automation scripting, execution, and mentoring a team of testers to ensure top software quality.

You will lead UI and backend automation, develop frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while ensuring robust regression coverage. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
• Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, and API test tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git), and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day QA/test activities for automation projects across UI and backend services.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Define test strategies, automation frameworks, and execution plans aligned with project goals.
• Set up and manage test environments including Wi-Fi test beds, automation infrastructure, and network emulators.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure early validation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent regression coverage.
• Review test scripts, ensure coding best practices, and mentor junior testers in automation.
• Track test progress, manage defects, and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Ensure test coverage for edge cases, performance, and system integration points.
