Job summary

A7 Recruitment Corporation in Pasig City, Metro Manila, is seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to join our QA team. The role involves designing, developing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies, including manual and automated testing across multiple platforms, to ensure the highest quality before release to clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related role
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including black-box testing, white-box testing, and exploratory testing
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (such as JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM)
• Sound understanding of SDLC and QA processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and documentation abilities to convey testing results and recommendations
• Experience with API testing and web service testing
• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools is preferred
• Knowledge of mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms is advantageous
• Experience in agile development environments is beneficial
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications
• Execute manual and automated testing across various platforms, devices, and environments to identify bugs and performance issues
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality
• Document defects and issues in a clear and detailed manner, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify testing scope
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks
• Conduct root cause analysis on identified defects and work with development teams to resolve issues
• Participate in test environment setup and configuration to support testing activities
• Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics to track testing progress and quality assurance status
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness

About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join A7 Recruitment Corporation in Pasig City, Metro Manila.
