Acquire Intelligence is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to ensure quality for connected vehicle and IoT software. You design automated test strategies, build scripts, and collaborate with developers and analysts to ship reliable features.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience in software testing or software development.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, QA best practices, and Agile development processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and scripting, including tools such as Selenium, Postman, Docker, and GitLab.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and distributed systems architecture.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Detail-oriented approach to defect tracking, documentation, and test case management.
• Creative problem solver who takes initiative and exercises sound judgment in a team setting.
• Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to perform effectively in a remote work environment.
• Passion for quality engineering, continuous learning, and staying current with industry trends.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is appreciated, and certifications in testing methodologies are highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Analyse user stories and requirements to assess validity and feasibility before testing begins
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites using tools such as Selenium, Postman, and GitLab
• Execute functional, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across Agile sprint cycles
• Detect, document, and track software defects, ensuring clear communication and thorough retesting upon resolution
• Conduct pre- and post-release testing activities to validate production readiness
• Collaborate with developers on exploratory testing, bug resolution, and root cause analysis
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle, including participation in stand-ups and sprint planning
• Evaluate and integrate new testing tools or frameworks to enhance automation coverage and efficiency
• Prepare and maintain release testing documentation, test plans, and QA process guides
• Lead retrospectives on QA effectiveness and contribute to long-term quality and reliability strategy
