Job summary

ACCIONA Construction Philippines is seeking a seasoned Temporary Works Manager to lead the design, coordination, and technical assurance of temporary works for bridge projects in challenging marine environments. The role demands extensive experience in marine structures and offshore conditions.

You will collaborate with permanent works designers and subcontractors, ensure compliance with codes, and drive safe, constructible solutions from cofferdams to lifting systems.

Qualifications

• Total Experience: 15 years.
• Experience in similar position: 10 years.
• Strong structural engineering knowledge of temporary works systems in marine construction environments and offshore conditions.
• Degree in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of all temporary works for marine bridge construction activities.
• Develop safe, efficient, and constructible temporary works solutions including cofferdams, falsework, formwork, working platforms, piling frames, lifting systems, and marine access structures.
• Review design briefs, engineering requirements, and construction methodologies to define temporary works scope and objectives.
• Ensure temporary works designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate integration of temporary works with permanent works design and construction sequencing.
• Liaise with permanent works designers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead the establishment of the construction temporary works design basis, ensuring the incorporation of all construction loads.
• Participate in and contribute to project risk workshops.

The Temporary Works Design Manager is responsible for leading the design, coordination, and technical assurance of all temporary works required to safely construct the bridge structures. This includes marine platforms, falsework, formwork, launching gantries, cofferdams, piling templates, working platforms, lifting systems, and access structures in challenging offshore or over-water environments.
