Job Description
A Teller in a Pawnshop is responsible for managing customer transactions, including accepting items for pawn or sale, processing loans, and handling cash and other financial operations. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of the pawnshop's inventory and valuation practices.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer transactions related to pawn and sale of items, including processing loans and cash handling.
- Provide accurate valuations and assist customers with inventory questions.
- Maintain accuracy and security of cash, items, and records; ensure compliance with shop policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Postsecondary education in business, finance, or a related field may be preferred but is not usually required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
