Job summary

OJN-KÖNSTRÜKT is hiring a Cost Engineer with Telco experience to prepare cost estimates and manage budgets for telecom tower construction projects. The role requires analyzing BOQs, material costs, and supplier proposals while coordinating with project teams to control expenses.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering background and strong MS Excel skills, with familiarity in tower foundations, structural installation, and site development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with cost estimating exposure.
• Experience in telco, cell tower construction, or telecom infrastructure projects preferred.
• Familiarity with tower foundations, structural installation, site development, and equipment installation support.
• Experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, material take-offs, and project budgets for telco projects.
• Knowledgeable in MS Excel and construction cost estimation tools.
• Able to analyze supplier quotations, project expenses, and cost reports.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to coordinate with field teams and project personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for telecommunications tower construction and infrastructure projects.
• Estimate costs for tower installation, tower foundation, structural works, and related civil works.
• Review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and project specifications.
• Evaluate costs of tower materials, steel structures, concrete, equipment, labor, and subcontractor services.
• Review supplier quotations and subcontractor proposals for telco project requirements.
• Monitor actual project expenses against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare cost reports, budget forecasts, and cost comparison sheets.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and telecommunications teams regarding project costs.
• Identify potential cost overruns and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
