Job Overview
The Technical Support Engineer / Technical Supervisor will oversee the technical operations related to food processing, packaging, and pharmaceutical machines and equipment. This role involves a mix of office‑based tasks and on‑site inspections, ensuring that equipment meets client specifications before procurement and delivery. The candidate will also supervise technicians, manage task assignments, verify machine parts, handle AutoCAD designs when needed, and ensure proper documentation and reporting to the Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise technicians and ensure proper installation, maintenance, and servicing of food processing, packaging, and pharmaceutical equipment.
- Conduct site visits to inspect and assess technician work.
- Verify technical specifications of parts/machines before procurement to ensure compatibility with client requirements.
- Oversee the testing and final checking of machines and equipment before delivery.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings for machine parts or modifications as required.
- Maintain and organize technical records, service reports, and inspection documentation.
- Ensure all necessary technical documents, manuals, and certifications are complete before dispatch.
- Assign and manage daily schedules for technicians, ensuring efficient work distribution.
- Monitor and evaluate technician performance, work records, and service reports.
- Compile and submit technical reports to the Technical Manager.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements for food processing, packaging, and pharmaceutical equipment.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, and service teams to align technical operations with business objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in food processing, packaging, or pharmaceutical machinery is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of machine installation, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team of technicians.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for client site inspections and technical support.
