Job summary

Variance Trading Corporation is seeking a field service engineer to install, test, commission, and inspect medical devices across hospital facilities in the Philippines. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-site support for end-users, with responsibilities to prepare detailed service reports and coordinate with sales/product teams.

Willingness to travel to multiple client sites and countries may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Licensed engineer is an advantage.
• Experience with medical devices or healthcare equipment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or biomedical systems is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork and travel to hospital/client sites.

Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and inspection of medical devices and equipment.


• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine technical checks on assigned equipment.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and technical issues.


• Perform repairs and corrective maintenance when necessary.


• Provide technical assistance and on-site support to hospital clients and end-users.


• Conduct basic equipment orientation and technical demonstrations for customers when required.


• Respond to service requests and coordinate with clients regarding technical concerns.


• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, installation reports, and other required documentation.


• Coordinate with the Sales and Product Teams regarding equipment-related concerns.


• Monitor the condition and performance of installed equipment.


• Assist in equipment pull-out, transfer, replacement, and other technical activities as needed.


• Coordinate with suppliers or manufacturers regarding technical concerns, spare parts, and service requirements when necessary.


• Maintain proper documentation of service activities and equipment history.


• Travel to hospitals, clinics, and other client sites for technical service activities.


• Perform other technical and service-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering courses.


• Licensed Engineer is an advantage.


• Experience in medical devices, healthcare equipment, hospital equipment, or technical service is an advantage.

• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or biomedical systems is an advantage.

• Able to prepare technical reports and documentation.


• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel to different hospital and client sites.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Monday - Thursday | 8:00AM - 6:00PM


• Friday | 8:00AM - 5:00PM
