Role Highlights

• Position: Technical Product Manager (with AI Development Capabilities) – Product & Delivery Focus.
• Type of work: Hybrid or 100% Remote
• Work from office requirements: Flexible (can be 100% remote).

• Contract location: Spain, other locations could also be considered.

• Years of experience required: 4–6+ years
• Must-have skills: Technical Product Management, agile Delivery, AI technologies, capability to do software development with AI, Cloud platforms, backlog management, stakeholder management, team coordination/management experience, experience with Linear, startup mindset
• Nice‑to‑have technical skills: Node.js, Next.js, React Native, Angular, APIs, software development background

About the Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to own delivery, quality, and execution across the product of our client. This role is designed for someone with strong startup experience, who is comfortable operating in fast‑moving, sometimes ambiguous environments where priorities shift and ownership is key.

You will:

• Own our backlog in Linear
• Manage the development team
• Ensure bugs are triaged, prioritised and resolved
• Drive features from idea to production

Responsibilities

Delivery & Execution

• Own the full lifecycle of features and fixes
• Break down product requirements into actionable tasks
• Ensure fast, consistent delivery in a startup environment

Bug Triage & QA Ownership

• Review and triage bugs from internal teams and users
• Reproduce issues and define clear steps
• Set priority and severity
• Ensure fixes are validated before closing

Linear Ownership

• Maintain a clean, structured backlog in Linear
• Write clear, actionable tickets
• Prioritise based on business impact and urgency
• Prevent tasks from becoming stale or blocked

Team Management

• Coordinate and manage the development team
• Assign tasks and follow up on execution
• Remove blockers quickly
• Ensure accountability without slowing down the team

Stakeholder Communication

• Translate business needs into technical work
• Align priorities across teams
• Push back when needed with clear reasoning

AI‑Driven Workflow

• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to investigate bugs, improve ticket quality, speed up QA and documentation

Requirements

Must‑have

• Previous experience in a startup or high‑growth environment
• Experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar role
• Strong understanding of web/mobile architectures
• Ability to read and understand code (Node.js, frontend, APIs)
• Experience managing developers and delivering products
• Experience with Linear, Jira, or similar tools

• Structured environments with predefined processes, heavy focus on meetings and reporting, limited involvement in execution – this role will not be a fit.
