Job summary

PM Consulting in Makati seeks a Senior Tech Lead to steer multiple software squads, provide technical direction, and contribute hands-on coding. You will partner with the Head of Technology and Product teams to set priorities and deliverables.

You will design scalable architectures, evaluate new technologies, promote best practices, and mentor engineers to elevate engineering quality across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong professional experience in backend development using Java, Golang, Node.js, Scala, or similar OO/open-source tech.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring software development teams.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated deployment tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI or similar).
• Familiarity with GitOps (ArgoCD, Kubestack).
• Understanding of OpenAPI standards and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with modern coding/AI-assisted development tools is an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more software development squads, providing technical direction, guidance, and mentorship.
• Remain hands-on with software development, including writing and reviewing code.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions for complex apps and systems.
• Review code to ensure standards and quality.
• Identify scalable technical solutions to complex challenges.
• Promote best practices in software development, architecture, and processes.
• Design and develop flexible, scalable systems for business growth.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions and participate in new digital initiatives.
• Collaborate with Head of Technology, Product teams to define priorities and timelines.
• Provide estimates and actionable tasks for backlog and development activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery activities.
• Mentor engineers, encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Establish a culture of accountability, quality, and problem-solving.
