Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking an experienced Delivery/Project Manager to lead end-to-end project deliveries within our banking technology environment. You will plan, coordinate, and govern initiatives to meet scope, schedule, and budget commitments with strong stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 5 years of PM experience, familiarity with PMI/PRINCE2 and Agile frameworks, and willingness to work onsite in Makati/Ortigas. Certification is a plus; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree relevant to the job.
• 5 years minimum as Delivery or Project Manager, preferably in banking/finance.
• Experience handling complex financial application projects is highly preferred.
• PMI/PRINCE2 PM framework and/or Agile, Scrum, or Lean experience is a plus.
• Project Management certification is a plus.
• Excellent management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in WBS, Risk Management, Issue Management, and dependency management.
• Knowledgeable on the technical side of IT systems, configuration, deployment, SDLC lifecycle.
• Willing to work onsite in Makati/Ortigas.

• Ensure alignment of baseline and changes with business requirements.
• Manage external delivery dependencies and impact of changes.

Job Summary

Accountable for the end-to-end technical deliverables of the project, meeting scope, schedule and budget commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work and collaborate with stakeholders and end users to plan and configure systems, to develop solutions that will achieve needed objectives.


• Align with the Project Manager on the overall business outcomes for each deliverable and delivery timelines.


• Monitors assigned projects as per BDO SDLC and Governance process.


• Tracks and reports project implementation progress and budgets to the Project Management and/or Application Owner per the agreed frequency.


• Identifies and logs project issues; oversees the resolution process and escalates issues when necessary.


• Harness project best practices and contribute to the overall BDO knowledge base.


• Train new Technical Lead with BDO Project Delivery Processes.


• Responsible for the detailed planning activities and creation of WBS/Schedule for the assigned areas of delivery. Where multiple Technical Leads and Project Managers are involved, ensure alignment.


• Work with the technical delivery team, solution architects, vendors teams and ITIO teams to identify, document and manage all issues and risks that will affect the scope, time, cost and quality of the delivery.


• Responsible for vendors that are directly involved in providing the services for the delivery scope. Where vendors do additional scope, align with the respective delivery managers and/or project managers.


• Ensure clear and comprehensive understanding of the technical deliver scope, how that map to the business requirements and ensure that baseline and changes are always maintained and aligned.


• Manage all delivery dependency that are external to the managed scope and ensure day-to-day tracking of these dependencies and manage any impact of changes in dependencies.


• Ensure the delivery modules have a well-defined test strategy, test plan and schedule.


• Manage all activities for testing from Unit, System, Integration, Migration, NFR and support the UAT testing.


• Align with the application owners and platform owners on the deployment schedules and approach and ensure all operational readiness is met prior to cut-over.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree relevant to the job


• Experience as a full-time Delivery or Project Manager (5 years minimum), preferably gained from a bank or financial institution.


• Experience in handling complex projects on financial applications is highly preferred.


• Experience in PMI/PRINCE2 PM framework and/or Agile, Scrum, or Lean methodology is a plus.


• Project Management certification is a plus.


• Possesses excellent management and written/verbal communication skills.


• Knowledgeable in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Risk Management, Issue Management, and dependency Management.


• Knowledgeable on the technical side of IT systems, configuration, deployment, SDLC lifecycle.


• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/Ortigas
