Job summary

Teradyne's ELITE / PCR unit in the Philippines seeks an OJT Intern to support Industrial Engineering and Technical Training activities. You will gain hands-on exposure to process improvement, 5S, and ESD control while assisting in daily operations aligned with your field of study.

This role offers participation in time studies, data analysis, and documentation of standard work, with mentoring from engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial or Electronics Engineering.
• Completed at least 2 years of coursework.
• Basic knowledge of process improvement, data analysis, or electronics fundamentals.
• Willing to learn repair/test processes and operational workflows.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic data handling and reporting skills (Excel, charts, etc.).
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Attention to detail and discipline in following procedures.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Hands-on exposure to manufacturing/repair operations and test systems.
• Experience with Industrial Engineering tools (time study, process mapping, Lean concepts).
• Exposure to technical training delivery and evaluation processes.
• Practical application of 5S and ESD standards in production.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Repair, Training).

Responsibilities

• Assist in time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support data gathering, analysis, and reporting for productivity, efficiency, and quality initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, waste reduction, cycle time improvement).
• Help document standard work instructions and process updates.
• Assist in 5S audits, housekeeping, and area improvement activities.
• Assist in monitoring compliance and updating visual management tools.
• Collaborate with teams to sustain proper workplace standards.
• Assist in ensuring adherence to ESD control procedures.
• Support monitoring of ESD practices and documentation checks.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and supervisors on assigned tasks.
