Pax8 in the Philippines seeks a Technical Billing Operations Manager (IC) to drive billing accuracy, operational excellence, and scalable processes across a global cloud marketplace. This permanent night-shift role (10pm–6am) emphasizes automation, observability, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence across billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and service performance.
• Define, manage, and report operational objectives, service metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Vendor Operations, Sales, Support, and Data teams to improve billing outcomes.
• Champion automation, observability, and proactive issue detection across billing services.
• Translate operational insights into data-driven enhancement opportunities and product recommendations.
• Maintain a prioritised backlog of improvements, defects, and optimisation initiatives.
• Lead operational escalation and forensic analysis when billing issues arise, ensuring rapid resolution and business continuity.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops, retrospectives, and solution discovery sessions focused on operational improvement.
• Communicate performance trends, risks, opportunities, and roadmap progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Continuously evaluate processes and guide trade-off decisions that maximise customer, partner, and business value.

What Success Looks Like

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Proven expertise working with billing, invoicing, financial systems, or revenue operations environments.
• Demonstrated understanding of SaaS billing models, subscription commerce, payments, taxation, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to investigate complex operational issues and identify root causes.
• Experience working with platforms such as payment processors, tax engines, and accounting solutions.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data-driven decision making.
• Strong experience collaborating within Agile product and engineering environments.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and align multiple teams around shared objectives.
• Excellent project management, communication, and organisational skills.
• A naturally curious mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
• Strong customer and partner empathy with a desire to solve meaningful business problems.
