Optum, a UnitedHealth Group Company in the Philippines, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with 7+ years of total experience and 3+ years in IT project management to lead complex delivery. The role emphasizes Agile methods, PowerBI usage, and cross-functional collaboration across clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will coordinate ITES projects, manage risks and dependencies, drive UAT, and mentor teams to ensure quality results.

Qualifications

• 7+ years total work experience with 3+ years in IT project management
• Experience with Agile methodologies and PowerBI and other PM tools
• Fluent in spoken and written English with strong business communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving orientation with attention to detail
• Ability to estimate activities, create and maintain project plans, and monitor projects
• Experience in managing risks, issues, and dependencies
• Responsible for financial accountability of milestones and subprojects
• Proven ability to work independently and in teams, with solid organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Verify and correct intercompany infrastructure deliverables tracked, reported, and charged accurately
• Manage multiple projects daily and ensure timely escalation of issues to leadership with sound judgment
• Deliver contracted packages of work on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction, managing risks, issues, and dependencies
• Plan and coordinate ITES projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables meet quality standards
• Drive user acceptance testing and handover to operations
• Chair project meetings involving clients and suppliers
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships to assist current and future delivery
• Project Management Experience and ability to apply structured methodologies
• Project Management Training to ensure adherence to best practices and standards
• Infrastructure Technology Knowledge across multiple platforms, including:
  • Presentation: IIS.Net, Apache, WebSphere I.H.S
  • Application: .Net, JBOSS, WebSphere Application Server
  • Database: SQL (including mirroring), Oracle (including RAC), DB2 (including HADR), MySQL
  • Operating System/Server: Linux, Windows (virtual/physical)
  • Citrix/VDI/VPN
  • Telephony: Genesys, CX1, Cisco
  • Network: Firewall, Proxy, Security

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of total work experience with 3+ years' experience in IT Project Management
• Experience with Agile methodologies, PowerBI and other PM tools
• Communication: Fluent in oral and written English; solid business communication and executive summarization skills
• Analytical and Problem-Solving: Proven solid focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to estimate activities, create and maintain project plans, and monitor/control projects of standard complexity
• Risk and Issue Management: Proven skilled in managing risks, issues, and dependencies
• Proven Financial Accountability: Responsible for financial impact of owned elements (milestones/subprojects)
• Interpersonal: Proven effective time management, ability to work independently and in teams, solid organizational skills

• Sound understanding of project management concepts and principles
• Ability to manage assignments and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Developed communication and diplomacy skills to influence and engage stakeholders
• Ability to manage a team of professionals and set objectives
• Operates in a learning context with guidance but minimal supervision; escalates issues beyond project boundaries

• Internet Explorer: Familiar with addresses, favorites, URLs, and search
• MS Project: Working knowledge
• ServiceNow: Working knowledge
• Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills including Pivot Tables, Filters, Macros, and Sorting
• Microsoft Outlook: Proficient in sending/receiving emails, managing folders
• Microsoft Word: Skilled in creating, editing, and working with tables
• Microsoft SharePoint: Collaboration, document sharing, and list management
