Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Python Full Stack Engineer who combines deep Python backend expertise with strong frontend skills in React or Angular. You will lead engineering teams, drive the design and delivery of scalable web applications.

You will architect services, oversee databases and deployment pipelines, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product owners, designers, QA to ensure robust, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Python experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Strong backend with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Frontend knowledge with React or Angular.
• Solid REST API and web architecture understanding.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• CI/CD, testing, debugging experience.
• Experience leading teams and driving technical initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack design and development with Python and modern frontend.
• Architect backend services and APIs for scalability.
• Define standards for responsive frontend components and oversee their implementation.
• Own databases, cloud services, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA, and stakeholders to shape technical direction.
• Drive technical design sessions, lead code reviews, and facilitate architecture discussions.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering technical growth and excellence.
• Ensure long-term code quality and performance across projects.
• Take ownership of delivery, identify risks early, and propose solutions.
