Job summary

East West Banking Corporation in Makati is seeking a Tech Finance Lead to guide the Technology organization's financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization. You will partner with vendors and stakeholders to deliver dashboards, reports, and insights for executive leadership.

You will lead the Finance Analyst, drive continuous improvements in financial processes, and ensure cost transparency across technology investments in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or related field; CPA/CMA/CFA or MBA is a plus.
• 5-8 years of FP&A/Technology Finance, Budget Management, or related finance functions.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and cost optimization skills.
• Experience supporting technology, banking, or shared services with insightful financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of Technology budgets, forecasts, and financial plans with accurate tracking of spend, risks, and opportunities.
• Deliver executive dashboards, budget reports, and actionable insights for leadership and governance forums.
• Oversee technology spend with vendor management and stakeholders; drive cost optimization.
• Analyze cost drivers, trends, variances, and risks to provide data-driven recommendations.
• Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and impact assessments for investments and initiatives.
• Lead and develop the Technology Finance Analyst and drive improvements in processes and reporting.

What the role will entail

• Lead the development and management of Technology budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, ensuring accurate tracking of spend, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive technology financial governance by delivering executive dashboards, budget reports, and actionable insights to support leadership and governance forums.
• Partner with vendor management and key stakeholders to oversee technology spend, contract commitments, financial reviews, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Analyze cost drivers, spending trends, budget variances, and financial risks to provide data-driven recommendations and strategic decision support.
• Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and impact assessments to support technology investments and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop the Technology Finance Analyst while driving continuous improvements in financial processes, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or any related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or an MBA are an advantage.
• At least 5-8 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Technology Finance, Budget Management, Management Reporting, or related finance functions.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, cost driver analysis, vendor spend analytics, and cost optimization.
• Experience supporting technology, banking, shared services, or large corporate functions, with the ability to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with the ability to develop meaningful reports, dashboards, and business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business decisions.
• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
