Job summary

EastWest Banking Corporation, Makati, is seeking a Tech Finance Lead to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance for the Technology organization. Hybrid work arrangement with a focus on cost optimization and strategic investment analysis.

You will deliver executive dashboards, partner with vendors and stakeholders, and lead a small team to enhance reporting, analytics, and financial processes within the Technology Finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field; CPA/CMA/CFA/MBA advantageous
• 5–8 years of FP&A/Technology Finance experience or related finance functions
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with ability to develop meaningful dashboards and reports
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost analytics, and vendor spend analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of Technology budgets, forecasts, and financial plans with accurate spend tracking
• Deliver executive dashboards and budget reports to support leadership and governance forums
• Oversee vendor spend, contract commitments, financial reviews, and cost optimization initiatives
• Analyze cost drivers, variances, and risks to provide data-driven recommendations
• Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and impact assessments for technology investments

In this role, you will lead the Technology organization's financial governance, budgeting, forecasting, cost analytics, vendor financial management, workforce planning, and cost optimization initiatives, ensuring cost transparency and effective management of technology investments. You will provide timely financial reporting, actionable business insights, and strategic decision support for executive leadership and governance forums, while overseeing budget monitoring, financial reporting, and financial data management activities through the Technology Finance function.

What the role will entail

• Lead the development and management of Technology budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, ensuring accurate tracking of spend, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive technology financial governance by delivering executive dashboards, budget reports, and actionable insights to support leadership and governance forums.
• Partner with vendor management and key stakeholders to oversee technology spend, contract commitments, financial reviews, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Analyze cost drivers, spending trends, budget variances, and financial risks to provide data-driven recommendations and strategic decision support.
• Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and impact assessments to support technology investments and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop the Technology Finance Analyst while driving continuous improvements in financial processes, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

We're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or any related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or an MBA are an advantage.
• At least 5-8 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Technology Finance, Budget Management, Management Reporting, or related finance functions.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, cost driver analysis, vendor spend analytics, and cost optimization.
• Experience supporting technology, banking, shared services, or large corporate functions, with the ability to provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with the ability to develop meaningful reports, dashboards, and business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business decisions.
• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
