Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and execution-oriented Tech Delivery Manager to lead client relationships, account health, and operational delivery alignment across our Core and SMB account segments.
In this role, you will bridge client expectations with technical delivery execution. You will own relationship health, account financial performance, escalation management, and organic account growth while mentoring and supporting a team of Account Managers. A core driver for this position is leveraging AI tools, automation, and data-driven insights to streamline operational efficiency, enhance reporting, and elevate client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Client Management
- Support and mentor Account Managers across Core and SMB client tiers, establishing clear frameworks for communication, follow-ups, and engagement.
- Stay directly involved in day-to-day operations and high-priority accounts, stepping into client conversations during critical moments, strategic syncs, or negotiations.
- Establish trust and strategic alignment with technical client stakeholders, including CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and business leaders.
- Act as the primary escalation point, resolving complex client challenges and aligning expectations with delivery teams.
Operational Excellence & AI Innovation
- Design and implement scalable operating frameworks for SMB and Core account tiers, standardizing health tracking, communication cadences (weekly syncs, monthly reviews, QBRs), and escalation paths.
- Actively identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and workflow automation to reduce manual tasks, enhance reporting, and drive data-backed decision-making.
- Drive a culture of technology and AI adoption across the Client Services team to optimize day-to-day productivity.
Account Financials & Organic Growth
- Own P&L metrics across assigned segments, monitoring revenue, margins, delivery costs, and overall account profitability.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate tracking, transparency, and margin optimization.
- Identify and execute organic growth opportunities (upsell, cross-sell, account expansion) alongside Account Managers.
- Refine and implement account segmentation models, defining clear paths for graduation from SMB to Core/Enterprise tiers.
Delivery & SDLC Alignment
- Work closely with Delivery, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure software delivery mirrors client expectations and SLAs.
- Apply working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum frameworks to navigate delivery trade-offs, resource models, and team structures.
- Track key performance indicators including organic revenue growth, client satisfaction, retention rate, churn risk, and account coverage ratios.
Required Qualifications
- 6 to 9+ years in Client Services, Account Management, or Customer Success within IT services, software consulting, nearshore delivery, or technology environments.
- Demonstrated track record of mentoring or leading Account Managers or client-facing teams.
- Proven success managing mid-market and SMB client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of account economics, including revenue growth, margin calculation, account P&L, and cost optimization.
- Practical experience applying AI tools, analytics platforms, or productivity automations in daily operations.
- Sound understanding of Software Development Lifecycles, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and modern engineering practices.
- Comfortable conversing with technical leaders (CTOs, Engineering Managers) as well as executive business stakeholders.
- English proficiency of B2+ or higher with strong verbal and written negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience designing account segmentation models (SMB to Enterprise) and operational frameworks for client services.
- Background in optimizing Account Manager-to-account coverage ratios to scale operations.
- Experience collaborating directly with Finance and Operations to build transparent account margin reporting models.
Core Competencies
- Hands-on Leadership: Balances high-level strategy with tactical problem-solving and operational involvement.
- Data & AI Mindset: Proactively seeks digital tools, automations, and analytical models to improve outcomes.
- Structured & Scalable: Driven by operational efficiency, process clarity, and measurable performance standards.
