Purpose and Mission

As a Team Captain, you’ll play a key role in leading and supporting your team on the production floor. You are the go‑to person for daily operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. You combine hands‑on technical experience with people skills to guide your team through daily challenges and long‑term improvements.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Plan and organize daily/weekly production tasks to meet deadlines.
• Lead by example in applying safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, mentoring, and coaching to team members.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality departments.
• Monitor and report team performance, output, downtime, and material usage.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team participation.
• Identify and resolve conflicts or issues on the shop floor promptly.

Skills

Technical Skills

Ability to read assembly drawings, work orders, and SOPs.

Experience with production reporting and inventory systems barely SAP or similar is a plus.

Working knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Leadership & Communication

Strong interpersonal skills to guide, motivate, and support team members.

Capable of giving clear instructions and constructive feedback.

Skilled in training and mentoring on safety and operational tasks.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Organizational Skills

Structured and detail‑oriented approach to daily task planning.

Ability to prioritize and adapt to a fast‑paced production environment.

Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for team performance.
