Job summary

Dynata Philippines Inc. (Cebu) seeks a senior accounting leader to oversee global month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of journal entries and reconciliations. You will coach team members and coordinate audits to ensure readiness and strong internal controls.

Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and drive process improvements and automation across the accounting function.

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll entries, intercompany transactions.
• Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items, aged balances, and exceptions.
• Supervise and coach Senior Accountants and Accountants; onboard, train, and develop staff.
• Coordinate audit requests, support annual and statutory audits, and ensure documentation readiness.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements; identify gaps.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, AP, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation to enhance efficiency.
• Support special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other ad hoc finance initiatives.

Job description

Lead and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities globally, ensuring all close deliverables are completed accurately and within established deadlines. (25%) Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll-related entries, intercompany transactions, and other GL accounting activities prepared by team members. (20%) Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items, aged balances, and outstanding exceptions. (15%) Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and technical accounting support to Senior Accountants and Accountants. Assist with onboarding, training, performance feedback, and employee development. (10%) Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors. Coordinate audit requests, support annual audits, statutory audits, and ensure audit readiness of accounting records and supporting documentation. (10%) Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements. Identify control gaps and implement corrective actions as needed. (5%) Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and business stakeholders to resolve accounting issues, support financial reporting requirements, and drive business initiatives. (5%) Drive process improvements, standardization efforts, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy across the accounting function. (5%) Support special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other ad hoc finance initiatives as assigned. (5%)
